Withcata Eye Drops

Therapy/Class: Anti-Cataract

Mechanism of Action:
Sodium Chloride (Hypertonic): A hyperosmotic agent that functions by establishing a high osmotic gradient at the precorneal tear film. It actively draws edematous fluid from the corneal stroma across the intact semipermeable epithelium, acutely improving corneal transparency and visual acuity.

Potassium Iodide, NaCl & CaCl2: An established metabolic/osmotic complex formulated to provide essential inorganic salts to the crystalline lens. It acts as an exogenous antioxidant and metabolic catalyst to reduce lenticular opacification and delay the maturation of senile cataracts.
