Mechanism of Action:
Nepafenac: A unique NSAID prodrug formulated to enhance corneal penetration. Upon reaching the target ocular tissues, it is bioactivated by intraocular hydrolases into amfenac, a highly active COX-1 and COX-2 inhibitor, reducing prostaglandin synthesis in ocular tissues involved in postoperative inflammation.
