Mechanism of Action:

Ofloxacin: A fluorinated carboxyquinolone exerting potent bactericidal activity by selectively inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase (topoisomerase II) and topoisomerase IV. This action arrests DNA replication, transcription, and repair in a broad spectrum of Gram-positive and Gram-negative ocular pathogens.

Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis caused by susceptible organisms

Superficial ocular bacterial infections as advised by the treating ophthalmologist

Extrude a 1/2 inch ribbon into the inferior conjunctival cul-de-sac of the affected eye(s) as prescribed by the physician. Dosing frequency should be adjusted according to clinical response.
